Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) applications for heat pumps increase

As the small biomass market decreases due to a reduction in the tariff, Lyn Robertson of Clean Energy Consultancy reports an increase in heat pump installations for commercial premises with a subsequent increase in applications for approval to Ofgem.

Heat pumps have a higher tariff in the RHI than small biomass boilers and consumers are recognising both the financial and carbon reduction benefits of installing them.
